FALL 2024 BAND
Online Registration Form & payment due by Sept 9, 2024.
Fall 2024 rehearsals will be on THURSDAYS beginning September 12 at Bethesda Lutheran (123 W Hamilton Ave, Eau Claire).
Beginning Band 1:00-1:45, Mrs. Van de Loo in Choir Room
Cadet Band 1:00-1:45, Ms. Wohlbier in Rm 305
Concert Band 2:00-3:00, Mrs. Van de Loo in Choir Room
The fall concert will take place on TUESDAY, Nov 26 at 7 pm (additional afternoon "dress" rehearsal that day as well). at 7:00 p.m. at the Heyde Center for the Arts (3 S High St, Chippewa Falls, WI.)
Tuition:
$100 Child 1, $85 Child 2, $70 Child 3+
There is also a $10 per family facility fee & $5 per family Admin Fee
Payment for Band will be in the form of a check written to Joyful Noise Band. Address for mailing is on registration form.
Fall Band Eligibility:
Beginning Band: All new musicians will be placed in Beginner Band. Students must take Joyful Noise Summer Band OR have 6 private lessons before fall band starts on Sept 12. New musicians are not admitted for spring semester to Beginner Band.
Cadet Band: Students with 1 year of playing in Beginner Band will be placed in Cadet Band. Students with experience just starting with Joyful Noise, can also audition to join Cadet Band.
Concert Band: All students desiring to be in Concert Band will need to audition or have previously been in the ensemble. See below for what the student will need to play for the audition.

3) Band Book
4) Pencil

audition material
Students desiring to be a part of the Concert Band ensemble must audition or have previously been in the ensemble. The purpose of this audition is for band and section placement.
If you have Sound Innovations Book 1, and have band experience, play the exercises from Book 1.
Similar exercises are found in Sound Innovations Book 2 & 3. Any set of exercises is acceptable for the Audition. It is not necessary to play both sets of exercises.

Note: Exercises noted above are all from the Sound Innovations Books. If you are an experienced player who has used a different method (such as Essential Elements or Standard of Excellence) similar scales studies from the book you own are acceptable for the audition. Sound Innovations Book 3 (green intermediate) will be required for Concert Band membership.
